Open Exec meeting: ANSA Vision

Thursday august 31

7pm aest

Zoom

ANSA was established to provide a voice for anthropology students within the Australian Anthropological Society (AAS). In order to do this effectively, we on this years' executive committee would like to hear from you directly. Every month we will have an Open Exec meeting. In these meetings we will be discussing upcoming events, the direction that ANSA will be taking in the future, and other pertinent issues in anthropology right now.

The floor is open for anyone to attend, to chime in with your opinions, and to voice your concerns. If you can't make it to the Open Exec you can always find your local Uni Representative (or volunteer to be one if your institution doesn't have one) and have them represent you in the Exec meeting. We're also available via the contact form on our website.

We hope to see you on the 31st! We will discuss the Student Voice document, compiled by the 2021 Exec and ways to translate this document into a long-term vision for ANSA.

Some topics for discussion include

  • membership strategy, including ways to include undergraduate students and clubs

  • (re)formulate ANSA’s aims and values

  • think critically about a long-term plan to grow the ANSA community across executives
