Open Exec meeting: member rally

Wednesday June 26

ANSA was established to provide a voice for anthropology students within the Australian Anthropological Society (AAS). In order to do this effectively, we on this years' executive committee would like to hear from you directly. Every month we will have an Open Exec meeting. In these meetings we will be discussing upcoming events, the direction that ANSA will be taking in the future, and other pertinent issues in anthropology right now.

The floor is open for anyone to attend, to chime in with your opinions, and to voice your concerns. If you can't make it to the Open Exec you can always find your local Uni Representative (or volunteer to be one if your institution doesn't have one) and have them represent you in the Exec meeting. We're also available via the contact form on our website, or via DM or mention (@exec) on Discord (use the contact form and we’ll send you the Discord link.

We hope to see you on the 26th! We will discuss ways to rally members for ANSA in the beginning of semester 2 of 2023.

Some ideas include

  • re-establish relationships with (undergraduate) uni clubs

  • have members sign up using the ‘join ANSA’ form on the website, so we have an up-to-date register of people

  • think critically about a long-term plan to grow the ANSA community across executives
